This is a highly modified version of a pre-existing module offered up by barneson over at Drupal. Its intended purpose is to allow users to create Google maps out of RSS data feeds. With the aid of an included super-charged proxy (which can be turned on and off via Drupal admin settings), users can also create Google maps using REST data feeds as well. The combined effect allows users to mash together data such as traffic feeds from yahoo along with Drupal blog posts (when locative data is present). Additional fixes have been provided to make this module more flexible and less prone to throwing errors. Please note that this module is just for presenting the final map, not for adding locative data to individual Drupal nodes (this requires a hotspot.module or location.module).
